Terms & Conditions

Purposeful Transitions | Effective Date: March 9, 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the services offered by Purposeful Transitions. By engaging our services, visiting our website, or entering into a coaching agreement, you agree to be bound by the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Services Provided

Purposeful Transitions offers life coaching and career transition services, delivered both virtually (via video, phone, or online platforms) and in person. Our services may include individual coaching sessions, group programs, workshops, digital resources, and related content.

Life coaching is a forward-focused, collaborative process designed to support personal growth, goal achievement, and career transitions. Coaching is not therapy, counseling, psychotherapy, or mental health treatment, and should not be used as a substitute for professional mental health services.

 

2. Client Eligibility

Our services are available to individuals aged 18 years or older who are located in the United States. By engaging our services, you confirm that you meet this eligibility requirement.

 

3. Coaching Relationship

The coaching relationship is a partnership built on mutual respect, honesty, and commitment. As a client, you agree to:

  • Engage honestly and openly in the coaching process

  • Take responsibility for your own decisions and actions

  • Attend scheduled sessions on time or provide advance notice if unable to attend

  • Communicate any concerns about the coaching relationship directly to your coach

Purposeful Transitions agrees to:

  • Provide professional, confidential, and client-centered coaching services

  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times

  • Refer you to appropriate resources if your needs fall outside the scope of coaching

 

4. Fees and Payment

Service fees are outlined in your individual coaching agreement or as listed on our website. By engaging our services, you agree to pay all applicable fees as described.

  • Payment is due as specified in your agreement (e.g., per session, monthly, or upfront for packages)

  • Accepted payment methods are listed at checkout or in your service agreement

  • Overdue invoices may result in suspension of services until payment is received

  • All fees are stated in U.S. dollars

 

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

We understand that life happens. Our cancellation and rescheduling policy is as follows:

  • Sessions canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice will not be charged

  • Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged in full at our discretion

  • No-shows without prior notice will be charged in full

  • Purposeful Transitions reserves the right to reschedule sessions in the event of coach illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances, with as much advance notice as possible

 

6. Refund Policy

Fees for completed sessions are non-refundable. For coaching packages, the following applies:

  • Refunds for unused sessions in a package may be issued on a prorated basis if requested within 30 days of the original purchase date

  • Refund requests made after 30 days will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis

  • Refunds will not be granted for sessions missed without proper notice (see Section 5)

7. Confidentiality

All information shared by clients during coaching sessions is treated as confidential. We will not disclose your personal information to third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law.

Exceptions to confidentiality include circumstances where there is a reasonable belief of imminent risk of harm to you or others, or where disclosure is required by a court order or applicable law.

 

8. Not a Licensed Mental Health Service

Purposeful Transitions provides life and career coaching services only. Our coaches are not licensed therapists, psychologists, or medical professionals. Coaching does not diagnose, treat, or cure any mental health condition or illness.

If you are currently experiencing a mental health crisis, trauma, or other clinical concerns, we strongly encourage you to seek support from a licensed mental health professional. We are happy to provide referrals upon request.

 

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and in our programs, including but not limited to text, worksheets, frameworks, tools, videos, and graphics, is the intellectual property of Purposeful Transitions and is protected by U.S. copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without express written permission.

Clients may use materials provided during coaching for their own personal development only.

 

10. Limitation of Liability

Purposeful Transitions provides coaching services in good faith, but we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, results, or the achievement of particular goals. Coaching success depends on many factors, including client engagement and effort.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Purposeful Transitions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or website, including but not limited to lost income, personal setbacks, or emotional distress.

 

11. Website Use

By accessing our website, you agree to use it lawfully and in good faith. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website or its systems

  • Post or transmit harmful, offensive, or misleading content

  • Use automated tools to scrape or reproduce website content

  • Interfere with the website's security, performance, or functionality

 

12. Termination

Either party may terminate the coaching relationship at any time by providing written notice. In the event of termination:

  • Completed sessions will be charged in full

  • Refunds for unused sessions will follow the Refund Policy outlined in Section 6

Purposeful Transitions reserves the right to immediately terminate services if a client engages in abusive, threatening, or disrespectful behavior toward our team.

 

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts located in [your county/state].

 

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
